Be a Depot Docent!

Do you have a winning personality? Do all of your friends say that you’re great with people? Do you have a few extra hours each week/month to fill? Do you love meeting and chatting with people from all over the world? Do you know lots (or would love to know more), about local history? Do you get a kick out of introducing school kids to the thrill of the rails? Or do you simply want to participate in a wonderful, community organization? Volunteering at the Cookeville Depot Museum may be the place for you! Cookeville Depot Museum volunteer docents are ambassadors, introducing tourists and residents to Cookeville’s past and present. Volunteers bring freshness, a pride of place and a desire to be helpful that sets us apart.

(Many Cookeville Depot Museum volunteers possess a love of history, it’s true, but we’ll give you all the training and background information you’ll need to interact with visitors. For more information about becoming a volunteer with the Cookeville Depot Museum, call Beth at (931) 528-8570, or e-mail depot@cookeville-tn.gov.)
